The White Man of Baldwin and Howe

Set into a low wall is a man made of white quartz stone. There is a legend that it marks the resting place of Deemster who got lost on the hills and died.
Start at Kate’s Cottage on the TT circuit and set out from there. Kate’s Cottage is a historic house which is one of Isle of Man’s Registered Buildings. It is situated near to the summit of Slieau Ree.
In addition to this wall marking there is a second White Man in a wall next to a public footpath in Port St Mary on the Howe Road.
