The Braaid

Dating back to the 1st Century AD the outlines of this stone-built roundhouse and two Viking Longhouses (one for people and one cattle) are perhaps best seen from the air so if you have a drone bring it with you. The site has been excavated at least twice, once in 1942 and the again by Paul Gelling in 1964.
