Port Jack Glen
Royal Avenue, Onchan, IM3 1ED
This is the tiny but very quaint Glen that takes you up from the Railway lines to Onchan Park.
In 1935, the park was badly damaged, following a bonfire which burnt out of control and set fire to the gorse. No one was hurt, however the incident caused tension between Onchan and Douglas commissioners. Stradling the Douglas and Onchan Boundary it became part of Onchan in 1959. The glen was then landscaped in the 1960s.
