Manx Motor Cycle Club

The Manx Motor Cycle Club organises the Manx Grand Prix.

The Manx Grand Prix as first held in 1923 as the Manx Amateur Motor Cycle Road Race. Concerns that the TT was being dominated by sponsored teams the race allowed amateurs the chance to continue to race.

Originally, just two classes, by 1926 the distance and number of classes had increased. In 1930, it became the Manx Grand Prix.

Carolynn Sells was the first female rider to win the MGP in 2009, riding in the Ultra Lightweight Class.
