Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club
Glencrutchery Road, Douglas, IM2 6DA
Following a racing accident in 1975 Manx Grand Prix the Supporters’ Club was formed. At that time, the rescue helicopter was only available during the two days of racing, so when a competitor was injured during practice the Club was formed to ensure that the rescue helicopter would be on standby throughout practice and race week.
Since then, the Supporters’ Club has not only ensured that there is a helicopter during the MGP, but has also helps with the purchase of other medical equipment and any injured competitors with financial assistance as they recuperate.
All the money raised by the Supporters’ Club comes through donations from the public, both during the MGP/TT and throughout the rest of the year.
