In 1995 the Isle of Man Film Commission produced its first film “The Brylcreem Boys” staring Gabriel Byrne. In 2002 it changed its name to Isle of Man Film. In 2019 Digital Creation Isle of Man was formed.
Over 100 productions have been shot on the Island. These include: Closer to the Edge (2011), Keeping Mum (2005), Thomas and the Magic Railroad (1999) and Waking Ned (1998).
