Ellan Vannin Gymnastics Club

The club was officially founded at Ballasalla School in 1984 and since then has grown and moved to its current location in 2000, hosting the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2011.

In 1989 the Club competed for the first time in the Island Games and by 1993 was competing in the UK. In 1992 the Olympic gold medallist Cristina Bontas coached the teams and in 1995 the Club received its first gold medal at the Island Games in Gibraltar.
