Cringle Reservoir and Plantation

On the lower slopes of South Barrule lies the Cringle Reservoir, surrounded by a plantation made up of Spruce, Larch and Pine. The reservoir dating from roughly 1946, is stocked with rainbow trout, which can be fished, as can the river feeding it, however a licence is required. There is disabled access to an angling platform.
Cringle is used for endurance trials, cycling and Tri-Athlons.
