Calf of Man Bird Observatory

Manx Birdlife is a charity dedicated to monitoring and protecting the birds found on the Island and its close shores.  Twitchiers can spot an array of birds including: Artic Tern, Black Guillemot, Hen  Harrier, Manx Sherwater, Peregrine Falcon and Puffin. Sadly Curlew, Lapwing and Tree Sparrow are in decline while it seems that the Yellowhammer and White tailed Eagle have disappeared.

It is possible to stay at the Observatory through Manx National Heritage who provide 8 bunkbeds with a shared bathroom.

Boats servicing the Island include the Vagabond and the Shona Elizabeth.
