Ballure Reservoir

The Ramsey Water Works originally created this reservoir in 1884, trapping the water from Druidale and Ballure, to provide water for Ramsey. The Water Treatment Works was constructed in the 1950s. It is now owned by the Government and since 2005, has been used solely for recreational purposes, including fishing. Deeply picturesque this location has been used by the Isle of Man film industry.
Fishing is possible with a license during the season. It is stocked with brown and rainbow trout.
