One hour to locate as many posts with orienteering symbol as you can, in whatever order you choose.
This is a free-order event in which participants have 1 hour to visit as many of the orienteering control flag locations marked on their map and pin-punch their score card to prove they have visited the control flag site. You can navigate to control flags in whatever order you choose, but remember, you must return to the finish within 1 hour to avoid a time penalty!
Registration is from 6:10pm – 6:50pm with a Mass Start at 7:00pm. People are encouraged to arrive early to allow time to register for the event due to the increased numbers attending this event.
Start and finish is from the field area in front of St John’s Church and all participants must report to the finish by 8:10pm at the latest. Winners of different categories will be announced and medals presented shortly after 8:00pm.

A torch is required to assist with map reading and navigation in the dark around the Arboretum. A compass to assist with navigation is recommended but is optional. Participants can walk or run, and suitable footwear and clothing must be worn for weather and underfoot conditions.
This activity is suitable for people of all ages and abilities and people can take part as individuals, families or small groups of friends. Children must be under the supervision of an adult.
Guidance will be given by Orienteering Klubb members before you begin if you are new to this activity.
