St Olave’s Church
Cumberland Road , Ramsey, IM8 3EZ
Erected in 1862 and designed by M.P. Manning, as a chapel of ease, for the Parish of Kirk Christ Lezayre. The piers, arches, and other dressings, internally and externally, are of red Whitehaven Stone, which contrasts with the dark grey, rough, stonework. The stained glass windows are made with green and white patterned glazing. The sandstone relief over the main door depicts Christ and the Apostles.
The organ was created in 1896 by Morgan and Pollard, who also made the organ for Christ Church, Laxey. There is an ironwork memorial alter screen, dedicated to those who died in World War I.
Regular Church Services, Evensong, and Special Services Including Lent.
St Olave’s hosts Bible Study, a Saturday Afternoon Drop-in, Tiddlers and Lent Suppers.
