Manx Radio first aired in June 1964 long before commercial radio in the rest of Britain. Originally the programmes were broadcast from a caravan in Onchan, and moved to Douglas Seafront, before moving to a former royal Navy Training Station on Douglas Head in 1969.
The radio station reports on local and national news together with travel, sport and business news. It also has a special Manx Gaelic and Podcast service. Its website has its own What’s On Calendar.
